Plantar Warts Treatment
Plantar Warts are skin lesions that are caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). You can get these warts on other areas of your body, they dont limit themselves just to the feet! Plantar Warts can also appear in clusters or be a single wart. They can be quite painful and make walking uncomfortable however some people experience no pain at all!
Plantar Warts are contagious and you can contract them from places like communal bathrooms, swimming pools and other communal areas where there is moisture and warmth. Our Podiatrists recommend that when travelling and attending communal areas, footwear is advised to reduce your risk of contracting Plantar Warts. It is important not to pick at Plantar Warts as not only will it make the Warts become painful but it will encourage the spread of the warts to other areas of the body.
